| The Gospel Bracelet
One of the witnessing tools we use a lot on our Missions is the Gospel Bracelet. This color coded bracelet is especially effective for helping children understand the gospel. Before each Vacation Bible School the coaches (coaches are the missionaries in training) would spend hours assembling hundreds of bracelets. The Gospel Bracelet consists of five beads on a leather band secured between two knots. The coaches would each get into a small groups of about five children.
At this point each child would be given a gospel bracelet and the coach
would explain the meaning...

After asking if anyone wanted to believe Christ usually one or two would. The Coach would call another MITer to watch his group while he took the child aside and went over the gospel bracelet to make sure the child understood the message of salvation. Then if he was ready the child would pray to believe and accept Christ! |
